Public record API

Reviewed

Bring public records into your review workflow.

Retrieve a published DigiBridge record by its public identifier. API v1 returns approved display information and explicit status fields in a read only JSON response.

Integration note: Responses use status public_preview and verificationLevel draft_certificate_preview. finalVerificationActive, ledgerAnchored and madeByHumanCertified are false.

Contract summary

One lookup for the permitted record.

Use the same lookup pattern for a submission page, reviewer interface or public record link. Display the status supplied by the response alongside the record.

Record resolution

Resolve an approved public preview using its public verify ID or public slug.

Public safe response

Receive approved asset context, shortened draft hash previews, optional proof summary and release notices.

Organisation integration

Discuss access scope, request volumes and service expectations before connecting a production review workflow.

v1 routes

Implemented endpoints.

GET/api/verifier/v1

API index

Returns the version, preview status, current paths and release notices.

Access: Public, no API key

GET/api/verifier/v1/health

Health and trust state declaration

Returns service availability plus explicit false values for final verification, ledger anchoring and made by human certification.

Access: Public, no API key

GET/api/verifier/v1/resolve?code=<publicVerifyId_or_slug>

Query string resolver

Resolves an approved public record by public verify ID or slug.

Access: Public, no API key

GET/api/verifier/v1/assets/<publicVerifyId_or_slug>

Path parameter resolver

Returns the same public safe response using a path parameter.

Access: Public, no API key

HTTP 200

Approved public preview response.

The exact asset fields vary with approved public content. Trust boundary flags remain explicit and must not be overridden by client presentation.

Optional fields

A summary describes the evidence available.

The film values above illustrate the asset display fields, not a film recording result. A successful response can have proofSummary set to null. It may include captureSummary only when an approved recording summary is available.

proofSummary

Contains disclosed software names, session and event counts, hash, signature and chain validation states, draft labels and explicit public trust flags. It can be null.

captureSummary

The current public capture summary is limited to Ableton Live. It contains dates, session and source event counts, source integrity, coverage and public trust flags. It can be absent.

No implied analysis result

Neither summary is a live AI result or a human creation percentage. Do not generate a film verification status from generic asset fields.

Current status matters

Resolver responses use Cache Control no store. Fetch the current record for a review rather than treating a saved preview as permanent approval.

HTTP 404

Unknown and private records look the same.

The resolver does not disclose whether a pending, rejected, unpublished, private, redacted, embargoed or ZK only record exists.
application/json

  "apiVersion": "v1",
  "status": "not_found",
"message": "No active public verification record was found."
}

Data minimisation

Only the fields approved for sharing.

Fields that remain private

  • Workspace, owner, internal asset and project IDs
  • Raw manifest JSON and raw proof events
  • Private evidence and contributor emails
  • Device IDs, tokens, keys and local paths
  • Source media, project files, stems and masters
  • Unapproved, inactive or embargoed record details

Organisation integration

Plan your organisation integration.

For a broadcaster, post house, distributor or platform, agree the access scope, version handling and operational requirements before connecting a production workflow. API keys, webhooks, usage billing and rate limit contracts are not part of the current public v1 interface.

Access requirements

Identify which information your service needs, who can access it and whether public lookup is sufficient.

Operational requirements

Agree request volumes, error handling, version changes, support and service expectations.

Record references

Map your submission to the public verify ID or slug supported by this API. Discuss other identifier requirements with DigiBridge.
